Subscriptions

How do I create an account?

We connect with Microsoft Office 365 to create your Teacher Dashboard account. You need either a Work or School account.

  1. Go to https://login.teacherdashboard365.com/plan and select the Teacher Plan
  2. Log into your Microsoft Office 365 account.
  3. Enter your contact details to create your Teacher Dashboard account.

Is it possible to have a free trial?

Our Teacher Plan is free to use, so we don’t offer a trial. Once you have created your account, you can use it every day or as and when you need to.

Logging In

How do I login?

Login to Teacher Dashboard 365 using your Office 365 account, so there’s no need to remember yet another login!

  1. Visit – https://login.teacherdashboard365.com/o365
  2. Select the Teacher Plan.
  3. Login using your Office 365 account.

I can’t login or am locked out of my account. How can I log back in?

As Teacher Dashboard 365 uses your Office 365 login, you will need to contact the administrator for your schools Office 365 or Microsoft directly about accessing your account.

How much does Teacher Dashboard 365 cost?

Our Teacher Plan is free to use forever! We wanted to offer a free version of Teacher Dashboard 365 for teachers, so they can spend their time doing what they do best - teaching.

Classes

How do I create a class and add/remove students to it?

  • Class Creation
    1. Click New Class
    2. Add Class name
    3. Click Create
    4. Click Add Student:
      • Start typing a student name and a list of your Office 365 users that match will appear
      • Select Students to add to your Class
    5. Click Add Students
       
  • Add Students
    1. Click the Class name
    2. Click Add Student:
      • Start typing a student name and a list of your Office 365 users that match will appear
      • Select Students to add to your Class
      • If you have already sent Assignments to this Class, tick the box to send any Active Assignments to new Students
    3. Click Add Students
  • Remove Students
    1. Click the Class name
    2. Click on the Student
    3. Click Remove from class

 

Can I create more than one class?

Yes, you can set up as many classes as you like! As well as setting up classes that relate to the classes you teach, why not create them for extra-curricular or for revision groups.

Subjects

How do I create and amend subjects?

  •  
  • Create Subjects
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Click the Subjects tab
    3. Click Add Subject
    4. Add a Subject name
      • Choose an icon
      • Choose a colour
    5. Click Add
       
  • Amend Subject
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Click the Subjects tab
    3. Click Edit on the Subject
    4. Change any details you would like to amend
    5. Click Update

 

Can I create more than one subject?

Yes, you can create as many subjects as you like!

Assignments

How do I create and edit an assignment?

    1. Click Create Assignment
    2. Give your assignment a title
    3. Select a Class
    4. Click Create
    5. Complete your Assignment details:
      • Add Instructions for your Students
      • Select the Subject
      • Select the Grade/Mark Format
      • Select a due date and time
      • Click on the Add Resources and Links button to add resources to your Assignment
    6. Click Send
    7. To edit an Assignment, click into it and edit any of the details you need to and save
      Draft Assignments can be edited, you can also edit the due date of Sent Assignments.

How do I mark and give feedback on an assignment?

  1. Click on Assignment title
  2. Click on a Student name
  3. Open the Student’s submission
  4. Enter your comments and/or give a mark for their work
  5. Click Send Feedback
  6. Click Return

What types of marking formats are available and how do I create my own?

We offer the following marking formats as default:

  • Percentage 0%-100%
  • Grades A-F
  • BTEC

You can also create your own flexible custom marking formats based on either number or text:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click the Marking Formats tab
  3. Click Add Marking Format
  4. Add a title
  5. Choose Number or Text
    • For Number:
      • Add a Minimum and Maximum value
      • Click Add
    • For Text:
      • Provide a Label
      • Click Add Dropdown Option to add more Labels
      • Click Add

Notifications

What types of notifications will I receive and how can I view them?

You will receive a notification within your Teacher Dashboard 365 dashboard and an email every time the following actions happen:

  • A student submits work
  • A student asks a question

It is not possible to amend the notifications that you receive.

How do I answer a question from a student?

  1. Click on Assignment title
  2. Click into the Q&A screen
  3. Read the Question
  4. Click Reply
  5. Click Save

How do I create and turn on/off notifications for parents?

  • Switching on Parent Notifications
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Click the Notifications tab
    3. Tick which Notifications you would like Parents to receive
    4. Your Notifications will automatically save
  • Adding Parent Details
    1. Click into the Class
    2. Click on the Student
    3. Click Add Email Address
    4. Enter Parent information
    5. Click Add

Technical

What system requirements do I need to run Teacher Dashboard 365?

Teacher Dashboard 365 works best when used with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, or Internet Explorer. It requires the same set up to run as Office 365, so, if you are already successfully running Office 365 you should be able to run Teacher Dashboard 365 without any issues.
